Bingo in Berlin costs nothing at Margot Schlönzke’s drag bingo in Schöneberg (free entry, 11 November and 9 December) and €52 for two plus booking fees at Bingo Loco’s party at the Astra on 5 December. We compared five bingo nights running from now to December.

The catch: the bar nights are small evenings with a host and a microphone, while the two big ones are ticketed 18+ parties. Same game, two very different nights out, and the table below tells you which one you are booking.

The table rule: at Bingo Loco, you sit with strangers

Bingo Loco says it plainly: seats are first come, first served, at tables of eight to ten, and all chairs must be filled. So two friends will not get a table to themselves. They will share one with six or eight people they have never met, and spend three hours shouting numbers with them.

That is the part most people do not expect, and we think it is the best part. A shared bingo card gives you something to say to a stranger that is not small talk: “Did they just call 34?” works on anyone. If you would rather sit with your own group, Bingo Ringo sells a five-person group ticket at €123.17 on Eventim, about €24.63 each against €29.37 for a single ticket.

If bingo is your kind of night, two siblings work the same way: pub quizzes in Berlin put you on a team at a table, and darts in Berlin costs less per head the moment you bring someone.

Going with someone

Bingo is the rare game where the person next to you is not your opponent. You each mark your own card, you nudge each other when a number goes past, and when one of you wins, both of you get up. That makes it an easy first plan with someone you have only met once: there is always something happening, and no one has to carry the conversation.

Two is also the right number for the Wednesday bar nights. Segunda Casa and BLOND are bars, not halls, and a pair fits in where a group of eight should call ahead. For Bingo Loco or Bingo Ringo, go as two and let the table fill up around you, or go as five and take Bingo Ringo’s group ticket.

Which bingo night to pick

For a first try, free: Margot Schlönzke at Segunda Casa. Free entry, a drag host who talks to the room, and one Wednesday a month, so it never feels like a commitment. visitBerlin lists the evening in German, so bring someone who can follow the jokes, or accept that you will laugh a beat late.

For a regular midweek night: BLOND on Motzstraße, every Wednesday at 20:00. The bar publishes no price, only a phone number for reservations, so call if you are more than a few.

For a Friday with other games around it: Electric Social at Alexanderplatz. Bingo starts at 19:30 and the room has darts and more than 50 arcade games, so the evening does not end when the last line is called. Bingo cards cost €5 each per round, and there are three rounds.

For a party: Bingo Loco at the Astra on 5 December, €26 a ticket plus booking fee, 18+ with ID. The organiser calls it loud and wild, with hosts, DJs and 90s and 2000s hits. We would book it for a birthday or a group of friends. We would skip it if you want to actually talk to the person you came with.

For the nearest date: Bingo Ringo at Spindler & Klatt on 6 November. Eventim marks the event in high demand, the early-ticket category shows as currently unavailable, and the cheapest listed are €29.37 including fees. We could not find an organiser website, so Eventim is the only seller we can point to.
