Street food markets in Berlin: 6 running, 2 with no date

Six street food markets in Berlin have a date you can turn up to: Street Food Thursday at Markthalle Neun, Thai Bridge on Fridays, Thai Park at weekends until 27 September, and three on Sundays, one of them monthly. Entry is free at all six.

The short version

• Thursday to Sunday is the week you can plan. The one Wednesday market on Berlin.de’s street food list, Midweek Munchies, now sits in the site’s archive with its date, location and hours all listed as “not yet known”.
• Thai Park closes for the season at the end of September. Its own site gives the season as April to September, which makes 26–27 September the last weekend of 2026 — three weekends from now.
• Entry is free at all six that have a date. Bite Club charges €5 with children free when it runs, and Midweek Munchies publishes no price at all.
• Markthalle Neun is closed on Sundays. It is an easy trip to waste.
• Stall prices are not published by anyone. Each trader sets their own, so this guide gives entry costs and leaves dish prices alone rather than inventing a range.

How we checked

Every day, time and date below comes from the market operator’s own website, or from Berlin.de where the operator publishes nothing, read on 7 September 2026. Three of those pages contradict themselves — a market’s prose saying one thing and its own information box another. Where that happens the disagreement is printed rather than quietly resolved, because the version you act on decides whether you arrive at a market or an empty street.

The calendar: eight markets and their next dates

The column that matters is the second from the right. Six of these eight have a date you can put in a calendar. Two do not.

Thursdays: Street Food Thursday, Markthalle Neun

This is the one that started it. Markthalle Neun has run Street Food Thursday every Thursday from 17:00 to 22:00 since 2013, and the hall describes it as Germany’s first street food market. It was set up by Kavita Meelu, Anna Lai and Tobias Bürger as a platform for cooks with ideas and no restaurant, and the hall says it has since left its mark on the whole city.

The hall sits at Eisenbahnstraße 42/43 in Kreuzberg, 0.4 km from U1 Görlitzer Bahnhof, with bus 140 stopping at Wrangelstraße. Entry is free. The trader list runs to twenty-nine names on the English page and twenty-eight on the German one, and the two rosters do not match each other — which is a fair warning that the hall’s own line, “not everyone can be there every week”, is meant literally.

Three dates from the hall’s own September calendar: Thursday 10, Thursday 17 and Thursday 24 September, all 17:00 to 22:00. The 24th is worth a note — the calendar lists it as “Street Food Spezial: Peru”, a single-country line-up rather than the usual mixed one, while the Street Food Thursday page lists the same date among its next normal Thursdays. Same hours either way, so it is on; just expect Peruvian food. After that the calendar continues weekly into October, November and December, and on to Thursday 7 January.

The other thing to know is when the hall is not a street food market. Markthalle Neun runs a Small Market Monday to Thursday from 12:00 to 18:00, a Big Market on Friday from 12:00 to 18:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00, and it is closed on Sundays apart from individually dated Sunday special markets. Turning up on a Sunday afternoon expecting a food hall is an easy mistake to make, and a look at the calendar first prevents it — the same care that pays off with everything else that changes in Berlin in September.

Fridays: Thai Bridge, Gleisdreieck

Thai Bridge is the Friday offshoot of Thai Park, held at Jules B-Part inside Park am Gleisdreieck, on Luckenwalder Straße in 10963 Berlin. Berlin.de describes it as a street food market in the park where vendors from Thai Park sell Thai food, gives the day as every Friday with a season starting in April, and warns that most stalls only accept cash. Entry is free. There is a playground beside it.

On the hours, one page manages to disagree with itself. The Thaipark site’s prose says the market runs “immer freitags, von 16 Uhr bis 22 Uhr” — every Friday, 16:00 to 22:00. Its own event box further down the same page says 15:00 to 22:00, which is what Berlin.de says too. So 15:00 to 22:00 is the better-supported version, and arriving from 16:00 is safe under either.

That same event box carries the only end-of-season date anyone publishes for Thai Bridge, and it reads 19 April to 5 October — 2024. There is no 2026 season end anywhere, which is a polite way of saying the operator’s Thai Bridge page has not been touched in two years. Treat the Friday market as running now and check before a cold-weather trip.

The same venue is also where the one Wednesday market on Berlin.de’s street food list is meant to be — Midweek Munchies, which has its own problem. That is dealt with further down.

Saturdays and Sundays: Thai Park, Wilmersdorf

Thai Park is the one with a deadline, and by its own description Berlin’s biggest Thai street food market. It began in the 1990s as Berlin’s Thai and other Asian communities cooking for each other on the lawn in Preußenpark, and grew from a picnic into a food market. On 8 June 2024 it moved off the grass and onto Württembergische Straße in 10707 Berlin-Wilmersdorf, by Fehrbelliner Platz on the U3 and U7, so the park’s worn-out lawns could recover.

The Thaipark site gives the season as April to September, hours of 11:00 to 20:00 on Saturday and Sunday, and closed Monday to Friday, with the market shut from October to March. On that basis the last weekend of the 2026 season is 26–27 September. If you have been meaning to go all summer, you have three weekends left.

Berlin.de’s page on Thai Park needs handling with care. Its prose still says the market runs “from Friday to Sunday”, but its own opening-hours field on the same page says Saturday and Sunday — and gives the close as 21:00 rather than 20:00. Its season field reads “8 June to 30 September 2024”, and the page is stamped last edited 1 August 2024. So the days are not really in dispute: both sites’ structured information says Saturday and Sunday. The Friday market moved out and became Thai Bridge. Follow the Thaipark site on the hours, and do not count on the extra hour the two-year-old page promises.

What is there: over twenty stalls, Thai but also Korean, Vietnamese and Japanese, with a vegan and vegetarian stand among them. Entry is free, and the site says most stalls take cash only. Go early in the afternoon rather than late.

Three weekends left at Thai Park. That is exactly the kind of deadline that turns “we should go sometime” into never going. Put 26 or 27 September on MITRA as a plan and let someone else in Berlin join it. Get MITRA on Google Play · Download on the App Store

Sundays: three more at once

Thai Park is open on Sundays too until 27 September. These are the three that are Sunday-only.

Street Food auf Achse has run every Sunday from 12:00 to 18:00 in the KulturBrauerei at Schönhauser Allee 36 in Prenzlauer Berg since January 2015, near U2 Eberswalder Straße. Entry is free. It is built around food trucks, with stalls cooking alongside them, and the courtyard setting means it works in weather that would empty an open field. Berlin.de gives the 2026 season as 25 January to 8 November, so it has two months left.

On the last Sunday of each month it doubles up with the Mädchenflohmarkt, a vintage clothing and accessories market, in the same complex. The operator says that pairing runs into October and names Sunday 27 September as the next one. Eating and rummaging in the same afternoon, on the same day Thai Park closes for the year.

Mauerpark is a food court inside a flea market rather than a market in its own right, and everything below comes from Berlin.de rather than an operator. It puts the court at 10:00 to 18:00 on Sundays at Bernauer Straße 63–64 in 13355 Berlin, entry free, with twenty to thirty food stalls feeding the flea-market crowd. The Funky Breakfast Markt at Holzmarkt 25 in Friedrichshain is the monthly one, and the only breakfast market here: the first Sunday of the month, 10:00 to 15:00, free, spread across the whole Holzmarkt site on the Spree. The next published edition is Sunday 4 October. One oddity — that event page also carries a line saying this edition falls a week later than usual because the team is away at a festival, but 4 October is the first Sunday of October, and the identical sentence sits on the 6 September page too. Two of these run every Sunday and the third on the first of the month, so until 27 September you have three or four to choose from on a Sunday, and two or three after that — on the day most of Berlin is shut. The two with no published date

Bite Club is the riverside market at Arena Berlin and the Badeschiff in Treptow. It has been running since 2013 and its own site describes it as a catering and event organisation celebrating Berlin street food.

What it does not have is a date. Berlin.de’s current entry is headed “Bite Club 2026” and gives the date as “Not yet known”, alongside hours of 17:00 to sunset and admission of €5 with children free. Bite Club’s own Upcoming Events page, on 7 September 2026, contained exactly one line: “Friday August 21, 5–late, Arena + Badeschiff”. No year, and nothing after it. The site still sells catering, so this may simply be a market between seasons — but there is nothing to turn up for.

Midweek Munchies is the same story on a different day. Berlin.de’s street food index still promises that “every Wednesday, foodies can feast on delicacies from around the world in Gleisdreieckpark”, and its page describes a market at Jules B-Part running from smash burgers and pad thai to jerk chicken and ceviche. But that page now sits in Berlin.de’s archive, its At a Glance location, dates and opening hours are all given as “not yet known”, and it was last edited on 2 September 2026. The venue has no working website of its own to check against. Wednesday may well happen; nothing official says when.

What is not on in September

The honest gaps, so you do not go looking for them:

• Nothing you can plan on a Monday or Tuesday, and Wednesday only if Midweek Munchies is running, which nothing official confirms. Markthalle Neun’s Small Market covers Monday to Thursday from 12:00 to 18:00, but that is a produce market with lunch counters, not a street food night.
• No Sunday market at Markthalle Neun. The hall is closed. Its Sunday specials — themed markets such as the Kids’ Flea Market on 11 October — are individually dated on the calendar and are not weekly.
• Thai Park after 27 September. The season ends with the month and the next one starts in April. Thai Bridge on Fridays is the nearest thing to a replacement.
• Bite Club and Midweek Munchies, until they publish a date. See above.
• Stall prices, anywhere. None of the eight operators publishes a price per dish. Traders set their own and they change.

How we chose these street food markets in Berlin

The test was whether a market is a recurring, publicly advertised street food market with a day of the week attached — not a restaurant, not a food hall that happens to have counters, and not a one-off festival. That gives the seven on Berlin.de’s street food list, plus Thai Park, which Berlin.de files under its tourism insider tips rather than that list — eight in all, each then checked against the operator’s own site where one exists. Six of the eight are sourced to the operator directly; Mauerpark and Midweek Munchies rest on Berlin.de, as does Bite Club’s pricing, which is said in the text wherever it applies.

Bite Club and Midweek Munchies kept their places despite having no next date, because leaving them out would hide the fact that they have no date. Where two sources disagreed, or where one page disagreed with itself, the disagreement is printed rather than settled by picking a favourite. And nothing about individual dish prices appears anywhere, because nothing about individual dish prices is published anywhere.

Six markets with a date, four days of the week, and two that have gone quiet. Thursday in Kreuzberg, Friday at Gleisdreieck, the weekend in Wilmersdorf while it lasts, Sunday in a courtyard, a park, and once a month on the Spree. The one closing first is Thai Park, and it has three weekends left before it shuts until April.
