Cirque du Soleil Berlin: ALIZÉ for two from €119.80
Cirque du Soleil Berlin means ALIZÉ at Potsdamer Platz. Checked times, seats from €59.90 (€119.80 for two), who it is not for, and an easy first plan.
Cirque du Soleil Berlin means ALIZÉ, a permanent show at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz, Thursday to Sunday in most weeks and on many Wednesdays, with tickets on sale into August 2027. The ticket shop advertises seats from €59.90, so two people start at €119.80. We think it is one of the easiest first plans in Berlin to make with someone new.
Here is why. You do not have to fill two hours with conversation. You sit next to each other and watch, and then there is a 25-minute interval with something obvious to talk about.
The short version
- ALIZÉ is Cirque du Soleil’s first resident show in Europe, and it only plays in Berlin.
- It plays Thursday to Sunday in most weeks and on many Wednesdays, for about 2 hours 5 minutes including a 25-minute interval.
- No German needed. It is acrobatics and magic, with no dialogue to follow.
- The show says it is not suitable for children under three, and there are loud sounds, dark scenes and strobe effects.
- Our pick for a first meet: a Sunday 13:00 show (until late January), then an early dinner nearby.

What ALIZÉ actually is
Officially, four characters meet by chance and take the audience on a journey “into the invisible”. Cirque du Soleil calls the mix of acrobatics and magic “Acromagic”. It premiered on 20 November 2025 with 43 artists from 21 countries, and it is the company’s 54th original production.
We have not reviewed the show ourselves, so we are not going to tell you which act is best. What the official information does tell you is useful for planning: it is visual and it has no language barrier. And at about two hours, we think it feels like an evening out without eating the whole evening.

Who it is not for
- Anyone sensitive to strobe light. The show’s FAQ warns about strobe effects, loud sounds and dark scenes.
- Families with a baby or toddler. The show says it is not suitable for children under three.
- People who hate rules at the door. Bags bigger than A4 are not allowed, no backpacks, no umbrellas, no photos, and it is card payment only.
- Last-minute walk-ups. There is no box office at the theatre. You buy online or at a presale outlet.
Going with someone you have just met
We think a show like Cirque du Soleil Berlin’s ALIZÉ is a forgiving first plan. There is a fixed start, a fixed end, and nobody has to carry the conversation for two hours. The interval does the work: 25 minutes, a drink in hand, and an obvious first question. We think “Did you see how she did that?” is a far easier opener than “So, what do you do?”
Until late January, we would pick a Sunday 13:00 show. You are out by about 15:05, it is still light, and you can decide on the spot whether to stay for dinner or call it a good afternoon. With a same-day ticket, the theatre lists 15% off per person at four places around the venue: VOX Restaurant, VOX Bar, Bistro Mitte and 1838 Deli.
Two small things make it easier. Book seats together in one order, so you are not swapping messages about rows. And meet outside 30 minutes before the start: the foyer opens an hour before, and the cloakroom costs €3.

What we would skip
- The Meet & Greet on a first meet. It is €34.90 per adult on top of the ticket and adds 20 to 30 minutes after the show. Great for a superfan, too much for a first plan.
- The Open Bar, unless you will use it. At €24.90 per person it covers soft and alcoholic drinks in a separate area from an hour before the show and in the interval, plus the cloakroom. If you would only have one drink each, we would skip it.
- A Friday 20:00 show if either of you works the next morning. You are out after 22:00. Saturday or Sunday is easier.
