Pub quizzes in Berlin: 12 nights, entry €0–€10

Berlin pub quizzes cost €0–€10 and most run on a Sunday, Monday or Wednesday. 12 quiz nights with times, entry, language and team sizes. Checked August 2026.

Pub quizzes in Berlin: five friends around a wooden table in a busy bar, working through a quiz answer sheet

Pub quizzes in Berlin run from free to €10 a head, most of them on a Sunday, Monday or Wednesday. Seven of the twelve here are hosted in English or bilingually. Entry is €2 at Muted Horn, €10 at Ratzeputz.

The short version

  • Twelve regular quizzes, spread across Neukölln, Friedrichshain, Kreuzberg, Mitte, Pankow, Prenzlauer Berg, Charlottenburg, Moabit and Steglitz.
  • Sunday is the busiest night of the twelve here — four of them run then. Wednesday has three, Monday two.
  • Cheapest with a stated price: Luki’s at Urban Loft, free, then Finnegan’s at €1 and Muted Horn at €2. The dearest of the twelve is Ratzeputz at €10, and €9 of that comes back as a drink credit.
  • Team caps are real: six at Muted Horn, Luki’s and all three Let’s Get Quizical bars, five at Finnegan’s and Tipsy Bear.
  • Two take no reservations at all; most of the rest expect or require one.

How we checked

Every night, time, entry fee, team size and language below comes from the bar’s own website or the quiz operator’s own event listing, read on 27 August 2026. Where a venue’s page and the operator’s page disagree, both figures are given and the disagreement is named. Some of it comes from the operators’ own Meetup and Eventbrite listings, which is where Let’s Get Quizical, Luki’s and Tipsy Bear publish their dates and prices; nothing comes from a third-party listings site or a review platform. The five quizzes that do not state a language are marked that way rather than guessed.

Found a night that fits? A quiz is the rare Berlin evening where turning up as a pair is better than turning up as six — you still need someone to argue with about the answer. Muted Horn, Neukölln — Wednesdays, €2

Flughafenstr. 49, 12053 Berlin. Every Wednesday, 19:30 — the bar’s own listing says “19:30 sharp”, and it means it.

This is the one to start with if your German is not there yet. Muted Horn states plainly that the quiz is “hosted in English by our friends from Another Round” — the only weekly quiz in this guide with an unambiguous English-only host. Entry is €2 a person, teams capped at six.

The format is two general-knowledge rounds, a weekly theme round, an alternating anagram or picture round and a music round, plus a “closest to” bonus question that wins the table a large bottle of beer. Prizes are a cash jackpot, gift certificates and beer.

The catch is the door: no reservations, first come first served, and the bar says tables are limited. Go at 19:00, get a table, order first. Muted Horn’s calendar listed quizzes every Wednesday through 28 October 2026 when we checked.

Let’s Get Quizical — three bars, three nights

One operator, three venues, and the easiest way in this guide to find a bilingual quiz on a night that suits you. The quizzes run in English and German together — the listings carry a “DEU/ENG” label — and the format is three to four rounds of ten questions over about two and a half hours, with picture and music rounds.

Teams are capped at six, and if you turn up alone or as a pair you are put into a team with other people — the single most useful thing about this operator, and the reason it works for anyone new to the city. Prizes go to the top three as drink vouchers; the last-placed team gets free entry next time.

The three venues:

  • Bar Degendorff, Petersburger Str. 74a, 10249 Berlin, near Bersarinplatz. Thursdays, roughly fortnightly. Doors 18:45, quiz 19:30, €4.
  • Alte Turnhalle, Holteistraße 6–9, 10245 Berlin, five minutes from Ostkreuz. Sundays, roughly fortnightly. Doors 18:15, quiz 19:00, €4.
  • Ausschank II, Görlitzer Str. 52, 10997 Berlin in Kreuzberg. €5, doors 18:30, quiz 19:00. This one is new and has no settled weekday yet: the operator’s own website still lists only the first two bars and describes the schedule as four quizzes a month, while the Ausschank II nights appear on its Meetup and Rausgegangen listings — a Monday in August 2026, a Tuesday in September. Check the date before you go.

One thing worth knowing, because it will otherwise cost you a wasted evening: Alte Turnhalle’s own website still advertises the quiz at 18:00 for €3, with dates from 2023. That page is out of date, and the venue publishes no events calendar at all — its “back to the event calendar” button just returns you to the homepage. The operator’s current listing — 19:00, €4 — is the one to trust.

You book through the operator, not the bar: buy a ticket in advance through Rausgegangen, or register on the group’s Meetup page and pay cash at the door. The €4 and €5 above are the cash-at-the-door prices — the advance tickets are listed a little higher, from €4.84 and €5.90. These fill — recent nights carried well over a hundred sign-ups — so turning up unregistered is not the plan. Bilingual quizzes are one of the few Berlin social formats that work before your German does, which is why they come up so often in our guide to making friends without speaking German.

Ratzeputz, Neukölln — Sundays, and a €100 jackpot

Weserstr. 182, 12045 Berlin. Every Sunday.

Ratzeputz runs the most expensive quiz in this guide that you can walk into, and the pricing is unusual enough to explain properly. Entry is €10 per person: €1 goes into the evening’s jackpot and the remaining €9 is a drink credit, redeemable for anything alcoholic or not. The credit must be spent that night and cannot be taken back as cash. So the honest reading is €1 to play and €9 you were probably spending anyway — unless you are not drinking, in which case it is €9 of soft drinks to get through.

The jackpot is a minimum of €100 a week and rolls over if nobody wins it.

Two practical notes. First, there are no reservations — the bar says first come, first served, and asks you to arrive early. Second, the bar’s own site contradicts itself on the time: the event page and its downloadable calendar say 19:00, while the events listing says 19:30. Arrive for 19:00 and you are safe either way. The bar states no team size limit and does not say which language the quiz runs in, so do not assume English.

The recurring entry ran to 27 December 2026 when we checked.

Sunday is the busiest night on this list. Four of the twelve quizzes here run on a Sunday — which is exactly the evening most people end up spending alone. MITRA helps you find someone nearby who wants to do the same thing at the same time — including on a Sunday. Get MITRA on Google Play · Download on the App Store

The Castle Pub, Mitte — Mondays, book at 10am

Invalidenstraße 129, 10115 Berlin, next to Nordbahnhof. Every Monday, 20:00 until about 22:30, in English and German.

The Castle publishes no entry fee anywhere on its site, so we are not going to quote one. What it does publish is a booking rule that catches people out: quiz reservations open at 10:00 on the Monday morning, through the pub’s own website, and only for the Middle and Back Rooms. Book a table anywhere else and you cannot join the quiz. Reservations are free.

The pub opens at 15:00 on Mondays, so there is a walk-in route if you get there early, but on a weekly quiz in Mitte that is optimistic.

Finnegan’s, Steglitz — Sundays, €1

Bergstraße 8, 12169 Berlin, five minutes’ walk from Rathaus Steglitz. Every Sunday, 19:30.

A euro a head, and the euro is the point: every entry fee goes into a pot that keeps growing until a team answers all five jackpot questions correctly, at which point they take everything accumulated since it was last won. Teams are one to five players.

The ordinary prizes are quietly good. Second place gets a bottle of Carolan’s or a bottle of whiskey. First place pays nothing for its drinks up to the moment the winner is announced — a more interesting incentive than it first sounds, and worth reading twice before you order.

The quiz page is published in German only and the pub never states which language the quiz runs in, so if that matters, ring +49 30 792 07 09 before you cross the city — Steglitz is a long way from most of this list. That same number, or Facebook Messenger, is how you reserve a table. The pub listed the quiz every Sunday through 27 September 2026.

Free and monthly: Urban Loft and Tipsy Bear

Two that cost nothing at the door — worth knowing if you are watching what an evening costs, the same logic as our list of free things to do in Berlin.

Luki’s Pub Quiz at Urban Loft, Heidestraße 43, 10557 Berlin, in the rooftop bar near Hauptbahnhof. Free, with a free ticket booked in advance. Twice a month — 3 and 17 September 2026 when we checked. Doors 18:00, first question 18:30, about two hours. Explicitly “German + English”, teams of up to six, and you can turn up solo and build one at the bar. The format is unusual: fifteen questions each with a music element, your phone as the buzzer, a live leaderboard instead of paper.

The Tipsy Bear Quiz, Eberswalder Str. 21, 10437 Berlin in Prenzlauer Berg. The second Monday of every month, bar from 18:00, trivia 19:30 to 22:00. Free entry, €5 to play. Teams of up to five, hosted by Nichole and DJ Frankie, with a cash jackpot whose size is not published. The listing is written in English but never actually says the quiz is in English, so we have not claimed it is. The monthly series was listed as running from August 2026 through May 2027.

Monthly is a different proposition from weekly, and in Berlin it is often the better one: a thing that happens on the second Monday is a thing you can build a habit around, in the way repeat-attendance formats beat one-off events for meeting people without drinking.

Quizcarraldo at BRLO, and Two Fellas in Pankow

Quizcarraldo runs at two BRLO taprooms, and they are not the same quiz — the brewery’s own calendar makes that clear only if you read the event titles carefully.

At BRLO BRWHOUSE, Schöneberger Straße 16, 10963 Berlin by Gleisdreieck, the event is titled “Quizcarraldo Pub Quiz (English)” and the description is in English. It runs Wednesdays, occasionally rather than on a fixed cadence — 2 and 30 September 2026 were listed — and those two dates carried different start times, 19:00 and 19:30. Check the date before you go.

At BRLO Charlottenburg, Giesebrechtstraße 15, 10629 Berlin, it runs Sundays every two weeks, 18:00 to 20:30, and that listing is not marked English. Four rounds: two general knowledge, a picture round, a music round. Both are ticketed through an external shop and BRLO publishes no price on its own pages, so we cannot give you one. The stated prize, in the brewery’s words, is fame and glory.

Two Fellas, Mühlenstraße 30, 13187 Berlin in Pankow, has run a quiz every Wednesday at 19:30 for over seven years by their own account. You must book by email in advance — info@twofellas.beer — because it fills. They publish no price, no team size and no language, so treat all three as unknown and ask when you email.

The hardest part of a pub quiz is not the questions. It is having three people to go with on a Wednesday. MITRA is for that half of the problem — finding someone nearby who wants to do the same thing on the same evening, whether that is a quiz, a run or a board game. What to know before your first one

Turning up alone is normal, at some of them. Let’s Get Quizical and Luki’s both say in writing that solo players are placed into a team. The others say nothing either way, which means asking a table if they have room. If that is the thing stopping you, start with the two that have a stated solo policy — the same calculation as anything on our list of things to do alone in Berlin.

The team cap is not a suggestion, and neither is booking. Six players is the limit at five of these and five at two more, so a group of eight is two teams. The Castle (from 10:00 Monday, Middle and Back Rooms only), Two Fellas (by email) and Let’s Get Quizical (ticket or Meetup) all expect a reservation. Finnegan’s takes phone and Facebook Messenger reservations. Only Muted Horn and Ratzeputz refuse them outright — for those two, arriving half an hour early is the booking.

Not every Berlin quiz is in English or German. Quiz, please! at Belushi’s on Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße charges €15 a head for teams of two to nine, and its own schedule offers games in Russian and German only — there is no English option at all. Worth knowing before you buy a ticket on the strength of the venue’s English-language website.

Check the date on any list you are reading. Pub Quiz Berlin, an English-language quiz brand that older Berlin listicles still recommend, is run by a British quizmaster whose own site now says he has “been based in Bolzano since 2026” and sells quizzes for private events. His site advertises no public Berlin bar quiz.

If a quiz is not your format, a board game café is the same social shape with less pressure and no fixed start time.

How we chose these

Pub quizzes in Berlin are easy to find listed and hard to find checked. We kept only the ones where the night, the time and the address are published by the bar itself or by the company that runs the quiz, and dropped everything sourced solely to a listings site or a review platform.

That cut a lot. Several venues that appear on published “best Berlin pub quiz” lists say nothing about a quiz on their own websites, and we have left them out rather than pass on a night that may not happen.

We have also not filled the gaps. A blank in the table is more useful than a guess when the consequence is crossing Berlin on a Sunday.

How much does a pub quiz in Berlin cost?

Between nothing and €10 among the twelve here. Luki’s at Urban Loft is free, Finnegan’s is €1, Muted Horn €2, Let’s Get Quizical €4 or €5 depending on the bar, Tipsy Bear free to enter and €5 to play, and Ratzeputz €10, of which €9 comes back as a drink credit. Four publish no price at all. The separate Quiz, please! at Belushi’s is €15.

Which Berlin pub quizzes are in English?

Muted Horn states it is hosted in English. Quizcarraldo at BRLO BRWHOUSE is titled as the English edition. The Castle Pub, all three Let’s Get Quizical venues and Luki’s at Urban Loft run bilingually in English and German. The remaining five in this guide do not state a language.

Can I go to a Berlin pub quiz on my own?

Yes, at some. Let’s Get Quizical places solo players and pairs into a team, and Luki’s says you can turn up alone and build one at the bar. The others publish no policy, so you would be asking a table on the night.

What night are most Berlin pub quizzes on?

Sunday, with four of the twelve here. Wednesday has three, Monday two and Thursday one. The remaining two — Luki’s at Urban Loft and Ausschank II — publish dates rather than a fixed weekday, so check those before you travel.

Do I need to book a pub quiz in Berlin?

For most of them, yes. The Castle takes quiz reservations from 10:00 on the Monday and only for its Middle and Back Rooms. Two Fellas asks you to book by email. Let’s Get Quizical wants a ticket or a Meetup registration, and Luki’s and both BRLO quizzes are ticketed. Tipsy Bear asks for nothing in advance. Finnegan’s takes reservations by phone or Facebook Messenger. Only Muted Horn and Ratzeputz take none at all.

How big can a team be?

Six at Muted Horn and at all three Let’s Get Quizical bars, six at Luki’s, five at Finnegan’s and Tipsy Bear, and two to nine at Quiz, please!. The other venues do not publish a limit.

Are there prizes worth winning?

Ratzeputz runs a jackpot of at least €100 that rolls over weekly, and Finnegan’s pools every €1 entry into one that needs all five jackpot questions to unlock. Muted Horn and Tipsy Bear both offer a cash jackpot. BRLO offers fame and glory.

If a quiz is not your evening, the other Berlin thing you can turn up to alone and still end up talking to eight people is a beginner dance class. Prices, start dates and what the first hour is actually like are in dance classes in Berlin.

Quiz nights fill up early. If yours is full, or you want somewhere to carry on afterwards, Berlin’s pool halls run late — one of them never closes — and cost €5–€16 an hour.

Want to keep reading?

A pub quiz is one of the cheapest structured evenings in this city — most of the twelve here cost €5 or less — and it has the one property most Berlin evenings lack: a reason to come back next Wednesday, to the same room, with the same people. That is the part that turns an activity into a group of friends.

Pick one, set a time, go. MITRA helps you find someone nearby who wants to do the same thing at the same time — a quiz on Wednesday, a run on Saturday. Berlin first, other EU cities on the roadmap. Get MITRA on Google Play · Download on the App Store
